Wrestlers in Business Network Announces Executive Committee Changes
Manheim, PA - From the earliest days of Wrestlers in Business Network (WIBN), the Executive Committee has been the guiding body to help grow the organization. Two of those original members, John Licata and John Cvetic, will be rotating off the Executive Committee. To replace them, WIBN is happy to announce that Jake Hunter (Chairperson, WIBN Philadelphia) will join the Executive Committee.
John Licata traces his involvement and membership with WIBN to the very beginning. John initially established the Greater Washington Wrestling Business Network in Washington, DC, and built it into a vibrant organization. At the same time, Aaron Grossman was building the Wrestlers in Business Network/Cleveland Chapter into a formidable organization in Ohio. Eventually, John Licata and Aaron Grossman merged their organizations under the Wrestlers in Business Network umbrella and inspired many more chapters to form. Four years ago, WIBN became an operating division of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), and the growth of new chapters has accelerated across the nation. Immediately following the merger, John began dedicating countless hours to serving on the WIBN Executive Committee and NWCA Board of Directors, which is a testament to his longstanding commitment to WIBN and its' core mission.
"I've known John Licata both personally and professionally for over 35 years, and suffice it to say, he is a transformational leader. Many have contributed to the success of the WIBN (and NWCA), and John has contributed as much as any. I'm happy that John will continue to play an active role at WIBN, and I look forward to seeking his guidance and advice on the most critical decisions we will make moving forward," said Mike Moyer, WIBN Executive Director.
John Cvetic is also a longstanding Executive Committee member and a part of the original WIBN Chapter in Cleveland, OH. Approximately ten years ago, John was part of the initial movement in Cleveland that would become WIBN as it currently exists today. His influence and impact on the growth of WIBN is undeniable, and his efforts helped chart the course for what would become over two dozen other WIBN Chapters.
Reflecting on John's contributions to WIBN and the Executive Committee, Mike Moyer offered the following: "WIBN would not be what it is today without John Cvetic. His vision, dedication, and commitment to helping connect wrestlers for business development and career advancement are what make the WIBN the organization that it is. The future of WIBN is extremely bright, and it is an absolute testament to John's efforts over the past decade. While he will no longer remain an Executive Committee member, I will certainly consult with him in the future, and I welcome his input and advice."
To replace Licata and Cvetic, Jake Hunter will be added to the Executive Committee, effective immediately. Jake is the Chairperson of WIBN Philadelphia, and under his leadership, WIBN Philadelphia has grown to one of the most successful Chapters in the country. He brings a fresh set of ideas to the Executive Committee, and his proven success at WIBN Philadelphia will help make him an immediate contributor to the future of WIBN. "We are thrilled to welcome Jake to the Executive Committee," commented Mike Moyer. "He is a tremendous leader committed to the vision of WIBN. I, and the rest of the Executive Committee, look forward to working with Jake and are eager to hear his thoughts and ideas that can, possibly, be incorporated throughout the network."
The search for additional Executive Committee members continues, and WIBN expects to add at least one other Executive Committee member in the near future.
