The Wrestlers in Business Network - Philadelphia Chapter Announces 3rd Annual Scholarship Program
The Wrestlers In Business Network (WIBN) - Philadelphia Chapter announces its 3rd annual scholarship program application process. The scholarship will be awarded to two high school student athletes - one male & one female - who represent the very best of academic, community and athletic achievement. The board will be looking for two well-rounded wrestlers who participate in activities outside of wrestling, exude leadership and maintain high moral standards and character.
We are proud of our successful past recipients. All are thriving academically and continuing to compete for their collegiate programs.
Tatyana Turner, who is finishing her second year at William Jewell College, continues to compete at 146 lbs. Turner finished with the highest GPA on the women’s team in 2022 as well as finishing the year as a scholar athlete. She is also the involved in campus life and serves in multiple leadership positions in the groups she is involved with.
Sam McMonagle, moved up to 157 pounds and started for Brown throughout the season. He competed at the EIWA Conference hosted at UPenn in March.
Trinity Monaghan is finishing her first academic year at Lock Haven University this spring. On the mat she was the starting 191 pounder and finished the season as a Region runner up and NCWWC National Qualifer.
Domenic D’Agostino finished his first year at Drexel University with a 3.6 GPA and competed this season at 157 lbs. He will be competing this spring in the US Open at 74 kgs.
We are excited to once again offer a scholarship of $1000.00 per athlete to be used for their next phase in life be it a 4-year college, a 2-year college, technical school, or the military.
The student athletes will be required to apply for the scholarship by writing a letter to the WIBN Board as to why they are deserving of the scholarship and their plans for the future. The scholarship committee will then review all applicants and pass on their top candidates for a full board vote.
The application process will begin on April 1st with the scholarships to be awarded in July. If you know of any student-athlete worthy of receiving these scholarships, please have them submit the application below.

Name of High School guidance counselor
Name of High School wrestling coach
Scholarship letter to include
Wrestling Credentials
Involvement in other activities
Explaining why they are deserving of the award and their plans for the future
Resume (reception of scholarship will not be based on resume). The WIBN is a business network for the wrestling community and we want to provide a free WIBN membership to all that apply for the scholarship.
